Greetings BW family and community! My name is Michael Alexander, and I am the new pastor here. I was born and raised in northern Indiana but moved to the Thumb right before high school and graduated from Cros-Lex. Becky is a native Thumb girl too, growing up in Marlette and Snover.
I have been in church ministry for nearly 25 years and hold degrees from Taylor University & Bethel University. I have been married to my bride for over 26 years. Becky & I have 4 children: Nicole, Rachel, Hannah & Joel. Nicole is married to Shawn and they have 1 daughter, Cora.
Some of my joys in life are camping and hiking anywhere with my family, working in my yard, growing a vegetable garden, watching football, being in the woods “hunting”, and spending time outside doing anything. My favorite food in the whole world is a good bacon cheeseburger.
I am excited to get to know you and look forward to serving the Kingdom together. If you’re in the building, stop in and say ‘hey’.

In person and online worship services
You will enter the building at the sanctuary door. A greeter will be there to help, take your temperature, and ask you the CDC questions when coming into worship. You will then proceed to the sanctuary. There will be no drinks or snacks provided just yet. Masks and social distancing are being used to keep everyone as safe as possible. Hand sanitizer is also available.
After service is over, we ask that everyone exit the building without fellowshipping in the sanctuary. There will be no event in the café after service as this keeps us in the building just too long.
We hope these changes help you in your experience at Blue Water. Remember to practice our usual social distancing, hand washing, and mask wearing so as to keep everyone as safe as possible.
We are not able to restart our Wednesday night ministries until the new year at the earliest. Thank you for understanding.
We know this will feel like a homecoming for so many in our church. Although we have missed one another in these special Sunday ministries, we are reminded to stay healthy in every way possible.
Thank you for all you do to make us who we are. Keep your eyes on Jesus as you reflect him in all you do as "all in" followers of Jesus.
